Vehicle Spec

​VW Transporter T5 LWB 2.5L Automatic

124k miles, full service history, first registered 2008, during our 2 year ownership its received 2 full long life services, nothing due for another 18k miles, we had all glowplug's replaced (it only needed one but we like to do things properly). We also had the power steering motor replaced as it made a slight noise (again it didn't need doing but we did it anyway)

The engine is a 2.5L automatic transmission, originally a council mini bus the engine was inspected every week with all paperwork. There is no need to worry about the millage, a well looked after VW 2.5L engine like this one will last way over 500k miles especially being an automatic as this reduces wear caused by poor driving

Current MOT is valid until the end of June but it will come with a new 12 month MOT on receipt of a deposit. If you wish to drive away the same day then we will offer a £150 discount rather than the fresh MOT.

Driver Aids

Upgraded MOT compliant LED Headlights, super bright without dazzling other drivers, these are complete headlight replacements, the lights are automatic with a day time running light function. The rear and side lights also upgraded to smoked LED

Electric heated wing mirrors and electric windows, reverse camera and sensors, Android auto / Apple car play, Sat nav

The front seats have been upgraded to a set taken from a VW T6.1 as they provide much more comfort and support compared to the originals.

The vans been treated with Lanoguard under body rust protection every 6 months. Spotless underneath and excellent body work

We had the van professionally remapped by Celtic Tuning 2 years ago from 130 to 184 BHP. You will never struggle on hills or overtaking with this engine, combined with the auto gearbox its genuinely the best and most powerful drive I've experienced from any van, especially compared to the modern weak engine in the new Transporter vans. Average MPG is around 28mpg which also beats many modern van engines

Upgraded comfort suspension, as well as massively improving the ride comfort it also increased the ground clearance by 35mm which is a big help when driving on bumpy tracks and campsites

One of our main objectives in building this van was to make an older van look and drive like new and we have definitely achieved this. Our company J123 GBC private plate is included in the sale and most people think it's actually a 23 plate van. So you get the benefit of a proper solid older engine but In a van that looks new.

This is a rare opportunity to buy a Graig Barn Campers demo van 'Big Ron'. This has been the company owners personal camper as well as the demo for our small campervan business. It's been our demo for almost 2 years which is a year longer than normal as we like it so much. As well as all over the UK Big Ron has taken us through Europe for a 5 week, 4,000 mile road trip through the Alps and beyond performing flawlessly for every single mile we have thrown at it.

Although a smaller van the layout has been designed to provide everything a larger van can but with the benefit of fitting into a regular parking space and easily fitting down narrow winding tracks and mountain passes (where the real adventurers can be found)

This camper can truly fly the off-grid no campsite needed flag as well as being gas free which is a big tick box for ferry crossings these days.

The living space

Fixed internal space saving 80L fresh water tank, external waste tank with diversion valve and overflow. Digital water level meter.

Cosy soft touch dimming LED lighting throughout - Decorative LED Wall light - Multiple fast charging USB ports and 12V sockets throughout - Blackout insulated curtains including a cab curtain

Windows on all sides with opening front windows, perfect for 360 views when camped out in nature it also creates so much natural light and feeling of space.

All rear windows are 95% tinted privacy glass, you can see out but no-one can see in (my favorite feature).

Double swivel front seats, not only do they swivel but they also slide further into the living space. This makes them a lot easier to turn as well as allowing you to sit in the cosy camper section rather than staying in full view in the front cab.

All furniture is custom made from a mixture of lightweight plywood and softwood pine keeping the total camper weight very low and MPG high

Very big U shape sofa to sit 5 with dining table, this easily turns into a bed in less than 1 minute. There is a hidden bedding hatch to keep your bedding away from cooking smells and dirt during the day and provide easy access to bedding once the bed is made.

The bed can be half made to create a large lounger seat for two. I've tried to capture this in the pictures.

When in bed mode its wider than a standard double and longer on the left side of the bed. We have used firm Reflex technology foam cushions providing comfort and support. We personally also added a roll out memory foam mattress topper, when rolled up this created a back rest for the rear sofa. We now have this in our new van with the same layout which can be demonstrated should you wish to add this option depending on your needs.

The dining table can be lifted and rotated to create extra kitchen worktop space

Versatile and adjustable chest storage, choose between more garage storage or more internal chests storage simply by sliding a panel. We packed for a 5 week trip around Europe for 2 adults and a dog and still had empty cupboards. You will be amazed how much fits into this layout.

The floor between the sofas has been raised providing a fixed hidden shower tray and more storage.

To use the shower you simply add the supplied shower curtain to the ceiling hooks, the curtain has a zip up opening to keep all splashes contained.

65L 12V Boo Fridge Freezer, this can be operated via an app

Eberspacher 2kw Diesel heater with digital thermostat (the worlds leading campervan heater brand ). This pumps heat or cool air into both the living space and separately into the garage area to help dry wet boots etc

The compact kitchen also comes packed full of clever features including an electric kettle with its based fitted onto the worktop. Extra large sink with powerful 12V pumped shower tap. The sink has a cover to provide extra worktop space. Another section of the worktop lifts up to store the induction cooking hob again providing more workspace when not in use. Everything is powered straight from lithium leisure battery 3000W system. No hook up is needed to power anything in this camper including the 240V sockets. Even the deep soft close drawers come with clever features like hidden locks and a sliding cutlery tray offering yet more storage underneath.

This van features our signature slatted ceiling made from home grown softwood timber milled locally on a 200 year old saw mill

Fully insulated with a mixture of 100mm recycled glass bottle insulation, closed cell foam and foil insulation depending on the application

Maxfan ceiling roof light and fan with extractor mode and remote control

Hidden slide out chemical toilet (toilet has been replaced with a brand new one)

Awning multi rail with built in light and gutter, Inflatable sun / rain canopy detailed in one of the pictures is included, this sets up in minutes and attaches to the awning rail

​There is a single small burn mark on the drivers seat, it isn't very noticeable however the van will come with a full set of fleece lined Dryrobe seat covers

As this is our previous demo camper its not a new conversion, we have however given the camper a full refresh including replacing marked surfaces, replacing the toilet and internal fridge components (shelves, ice cube tray, salad drawer), new Induction hob and more to make the conversion feel as new as possible.
